Matt Lamb Biography Launch

(Castletownshend, County Cork, Ireland) --  International artist Matt Lamb, who has a home in Union Hall, celebrated his seventy-third birthday and the launch of his biography with family and friends in Chicago last week, whilst the book, Matt Lamb:  The Art of Success, written by Richard Speer, was launched simultaneously in 193 venues worldwide.

The West Cork launch was held in the Warren Gallery, Mary Ann’s, Castletownshend, with a champagne reception followed by readings of excerpts of the biography by Fergus O’Mahony.

Matt Lamb: The Art of Success is an uproariously funny tell-all biography, capturing in a larger-than-life story the character of a man who turned a funeral parlour business into a multimillion-dollar industry, which he then walked away from at a crisis point in his life.  From near bankruptcy to becoming a self-taught artist whose work is collected in museums and by the rich and powerful -- this riches-to-riches story has to be true, because it would be simply unbelievable as a work of fiction.

Whilst strong language peppers the pages, Richard Speer’s biography is outrageously funny and as vividly colourful as Matt Lamb’s art.  Richard Speer is an Associated Press Award-winning writer who has painted a portrait of a multi-talented and multi-faceted man who is a paradox of our time.

Matt Lamb:  The Art of Success is not yet available from Irish bookshops but is available online through Amazon.
